Figured I'd get back to doing what I do best. Drinking beer and writing about it.
Mama Grande Cerveza: Quiche Oaxaca
5.5 ABV
This is the first "artisanal" beer I've had in Mexico. Mostly it's been your typical Mexican Piss. Corona. Victoria. XX. Etc.
This beer however is a winner. Seriously, I wish I owned a fridge full of it.
Chocolately. Coffee notes. Dark. Cold. Not heavy like most stouts/porters. (they call this a Porter, but I think of it more as a stout.)
We found it at a local mezcalaria called Quiche. The mezcal tasted like pure gasoline, this beer tasted like heaven.
I give it 4 out of 5 drunk leprechauns. (that's my new rating system. Like it? )
